I was able to get more stuff for my 'newbie' gear. I figured I will be doing more portrait shots, because I have kids, so I decided to get the cheap Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens .. plus I read a lot of good reviews on it.. Unusual .. but yes, we were awakened by the bed shaking and some rattling sound at 4:40am today. At first I thought it was something paranormal, since me and my husband has been watching a lot of paranormal tv shows lately hehe, but then thought it could be an earthquake. We did feel the earthquake 2 or 3 years ago that also hit the midwest. This one, though, was a bit stronger. More people felt it. It was said to be 5.2 magnitude in the epicenter, somewhere in Southern Illinois and Indiana border.   For people in the Midwest, this is a big deal. When I concentrate on looking at it, it goes counter clockwise. And when I look at it as a whole or when I tend to space out I see it go clockwise.     Try this out friends... Although I pretty much know most dress codes for social events, I still dug in the web and compiled these attire ettiquette: White Tie A White Tie or Ultra-formal invitation requires men wear full dress, with white tie, vest, shirt.  Women wear long gowns. White tie is also known as "Strictly Formal". "strictly formal" would mean a formal dress or gown with a length that hits the floor. It means wearing those fancy wraps and formal jewelry right alongside beaded purses and clutches that have been waiting in your closet for an occasion such as this. strictly formal affair, gentlemen are required to wear white tie and tails, while ladies should be clad in evening gown.   Think about balls, nobel banquets, masquerades, or royal events.
